PSA: My kids' sock system saved our last camping trip
We color-code each kid's socks so nobody fights over whose is whose. It sounds silly but it PREVENTS so many morning arguments when you're packing up camp.

Man, color coded socks sound way more organized than my entire life. I mean my kids would probably lose the socks anyway and just start arguing about whose color is better. At least you're not out there fighting over wet socks while a raccoon steals your breakfast, idk maybe it's just me but that's next level camping prep.

Totally get what @stella_white8 is saying. It's not about the socks, it's about cutting off the chaos before it starts. Like, you're already trying to stop a toddler from eating dirt, the last thing you need is a ten minute hunt for a matching sock. Color coding just removes one tiny, stupid argument so you can focus on the real problems, like that raccoon eyeing your bacon.

But how often do socks actually cause major fights? Color coding seems like a lot of effort for a minor issue. If your kids are that worked up over socks, maybe camping isn't the relaxing break you think it is. I've been on trips where we just grabbed whatever socks were dry and it was fine. This whole system feels like solving a problem that doesn't really exist.
