Hit 30 nights in my $40 tent and it's still going strong
I got this no-name tent off Amazon for 40 bucks two years ago and I just counted up on my camping log that I've spent 30 nights in it now. It's been through rain in the Smokies and wind at a beach site in Florida and the only issue is a small tear near the zipper I patched with duct tape. Anyone else got a piece of budget gear that just won't quit?

30 nights ain't a real test. Get back to me at 100.

Wait, is 100 nights really the magic number or is that just some arbitrary cutoff you made up in your head, @kellyg14? I mean, 30 nights is already a solid chunk of time to figure out if something's working or not... if a product fails in that window, it's probably not gonna suddenly become amazing at night 47. Plenty of people get real results way before the 100 mark, so acting like it's the only threshold seems kinda gatekeepy to me. Plus, if something's junk after 30 nights, why would you waste another 70 nights on it? Sounds like sunk cost fallacy territory honestly.
