Hit 1,000 installs and the number that actually shocked me was 11
I logged my 1,000th install on Tuesday and figured that would be the big moment, but it wasn't even close. When I went back through my notes, I found out I've drilled into a water line 11 times in 4 years. That's more than one flooded wall per year, and every single one could have been avoided if I had just looked at where the sink was on the other side. Two of those calls cost me $400 each in drywall and paint, and one in a house off Riverside Drive cost me a whole weekend. The 1,000 number is just bragging rights, but 11 is the number that tells me I still rush my layout on remodel jobs. Any of you keep a count of your worst repeat mistake, or am I the only one dumb enough to track it?
