Dropped a fish tape reel down a chase in Tulsa and had to own it with the homeowner
Lost my grip on a 100 ft reel going up the chase at a two story in Tulsa and it hit the fire block about 12 feet down with a crack that echoed through the whole house. Told the homeowner straight up what happened instead of blaming the wall, and she actually laughed and let me cut a small access hole to fish it out. Now I clip my reel to my belt before every vertical run, so what's your go to trick for not losing stuff down a wall?
