Went from hating drawer slides to installing them blindfolded

For 8 years I refused to use soft-close undermount slides, thought they were overpriced gimmicks after one bad set in 2016. Then I tried the Blum tandem slides on a kitchen reno in Portland and holy cow, the difference is night and day, zero side play and they self-close perfect every time. Has anyone else been converted on a specific hardware piece after swearing it off for years?

...and honestly I did the exact same thing with soft close drawer slides, I got one cheap pair years ago that never closed right and I wrote off the whole concept. But then I helped my brother with his kitchen and he had these Blum ones, I think they were the 563 series or something, and I was like wait, why does this feel so smooth? The closing is just so gentle and consistent, no weird jerking or slamming. I still don't think they're worth it for every single drawer in a house, but for the main kitchen cabinets, yeah, I get it now. It took one good set to change my mind too.
