Unpopular opinion: I argued with a client about using only solid wood for drawer boxes.

He said, 'I've had plywood boxes last 20 years in a rental property, the real failure point is the joint.' Made me reconsider my own material snobbery. Anyone else find themselves clinging to a 'right way' that might just be an old habit?

Honestly, that's a great point about joints being the real weak spot.

Yeah, joints are a weak spot. Reminds me of how my old truck's suspension gave out right at the control arm bushings.
