DAE spend 4 months cutting dadoes from the wrong face until a scrap piece split on them?
I was building a run of shop cabinets out of 3/4 birch ply in my garage and cutting all my dadoes from what I thought was the show face, until a scrap piece split right down the groove last Tuesday and I saw the tearout was all on the side I'd been calling the back. Turns out I'd been eyeballing the plies wrong on every sheet since March (the face veneer was thinner than I assumed) so my grooves were 1/16 off and the whole run sat proud. How do you all mark your show face so you don't second guess it at the saw?
