Why does nobody talk about cheap hiking boots falling apart after 6 months?

I bought a pair of mid-range hiking boots back in March for $120 and by September the sole was separating from the toe on my right boot. I only used them on weekends, maybe 30 hikes total on trails in the Sierras. Some folks online say you should just glue them back with Shoe Goo and call it good. But I wonder, is that really a fix or just kicking the can down the trail? Has anyone else had bad luck with boots failing way before the 1 year mark?

Nah, cheap boots are always a gamble.

Wait, have you actually had a bad experience with cheap boots yourself? I feel like I've been burned (literally, in terms of cold feet) by a few pairs I bought on a tight budget. It's so frustrating when you think you're getting a deal and then the soles start peeling off after like two weeks. You know, sometimes you get lucky with a cheap pair, but it really is a gamble. I've learned that lesson the hard way too many times, especially with winter boots. It's pretty much always better to save up for something decent, even if it hurts the wallet a bit at first.
