My canvas work boots finally gave out after 9 years of daily barn use

I bought these boots back in 2016 for $120 at a farm supply store in Ohio, wore them every single day doing stalls, fencing, and hauling hay. Last Tuesday the sole split right down the middle while I was mucking out a muddy pen, and I stood there for a sec just staring at the mess. Nine years is a good run, but now I'm looking for something that breathes better in summer and still holds up to constant moisture. Anyone else wear out canvas over leather messing, and what did you switch to that lasted?
