My $8 can of Bondo finally cracked after 9 winters in my unheated garage
Back in 2014 I patched a rust hole in my truck bed with the cheapest body filler they had at the auto parts store in Duluth, and I figured it would fall out by spring. That patch made it through 9 Minnesota winters before it finally started lifting at the edges last week. Meanwhile a fancier brand can I bought in 2019 for $22 turned rock hard in the can in under 2 years. Same garage, same shelf, same temps swinging from 95 to negative 20. I honestly don't know if it's the formula or just luck of the batch. Anyone here got a filler or epoxy that survived a decade of freeze and thaw in a cold shop?
