My boning knife snapped mid-breakdown on a pork shoulder Tuesday
I was working through a case of shoulders around 3 PM and the blade just gave out right at the heel. Had to finish the cut with my backup knife that I hadn't sharpened in two weeks. Anyone else ever had a blade fail on them during a busy shift?

Oh man, that SUCKS. Nothing worse than a snap right in the middle of a rush.

Nothing worse than a snap in the middle of a rush"? Hard disagree. I'd take that over snapping a line when I'm fighting a big fish any day. At least if your rod snaps you know it's done, you gotta deal with it. But a snapped line in a rush? You're still holding the rod, the fish is gone, and now you're trying to retie with shaking hands while everyone's waiting. That's way worse to me. Plus a rod snap gives you a good excuse to buy a new one, which is half the fun of fishing honestly.
