Tried to swap a dryer belt and wound up with a drum that won't turn at all
Last Saturday I pulled apart my Whirlpool dryer to replace a worn belt, but I somehow got the tensioner spring jammed wrong and now the drum just sits there when I hit start. Has anyone else managed to turn a simple 20 minute job into a weekend project that needs a do-over?

Had a buddy do the EXACT same thing with his kenmore last year. He ended up just taking the whole top off and staring at it for two hours before he saw the spring was hooked on the wrong tab.

It is hilarious how many "simple" home repairs turn into a full-blown geometry puzzle with springs and tensioners. You stare at it long enough and realize you have to disassemble half the machine just to get one little hook in the right spot.
