Took me 3 tries to replace a belt on my dryer. First time I put it on backwards.

I spent $20 on the wrong belt from Home Depot and then another $12 on the right one after breaking the old one pulling it off. The tensioner spring shot across my garage and I found it in a box of Christmas lights. Has anyone else had a simple repair turn into a three hour hunt for a flying spring?

A spring flew into a box of Christmas lights? That is wild, man.

Instead the spring landed in my coffee mug... still not sure how it got three feet higher than where I was working. @gray_patel at least your spring picked a seasonal hiding spot, mine ended up tangled in a toaster I don't even use anymore. That tensioner spring has a mind of its own I swear.
