I fought a seized bolt on my 2004 Forester for 2 hours with a pipe over the handle, then a buddy tossed me his cheap impact sockets and the rattle gun popped it off in 4 seconds, so I bought my own set that afternoon and it's saved me three tow bills since, anyone else stubbornly avoid buying the right tool until the wrong one breaks?

Ngl, the real question is how many of us actually learned the lesson, or are we all just waiting for the next tool to fail before we upgrade? Because I’ve got a whole drawer of busted stuff that says I didn’t learn it the first time either.
