Actually flooding it means you're dumping too much fuel in, not a bad carb.

Wait, so you're telling me I've been blaming my carburetor for nothing while it's been perfectly fine this whole time? That's like yelling at your dog for farting when you're the one who fed him beans. I've spent three weekends cleaning that thing with a toothbrush and carb cleaner, and now you're saying it was operator error with the fuel mix. Guess my mechanic was right when he said I had a heavy foot on the pedal.
