Just had a guy at the salvage yard tell me I was over-thinking my carb rebuild on a 1987 F-150
He said sometimes the simplest thing like a $6 gasket kit from the parts store is all you need, not the $200 rebuild kit I was about to buy, and now I'm wondering how many times I've made fixing stuff way harder than it has to be, anyone else run into random strangers who save you from yourself?
