Heard that's pretty common with older dishwashers...

Yeah @baker.riley hit the nail on the head. Old dishwashers are notorious for that slow draining problem. Usually it's just years of food buildup and grease in the hose or the filter. I've seen it a million times with older KitchenAid and Whirlpool models. The pump impeller gets worn down too and can't push water hard enough anymore. A good cleanout might help but sometimes you gotta replace the drain pump entirely.

Oh man, that's so true. It's like everything in our houses just wears down over time, not just dishwashers. I've noticed with my parents' old fridge and even my car that after a certain point, the parts just can't do the job they used to. You clean and maintain stuff but eventually the mechanics are just tired and you gotta bite the bullet and fix or replace them. It's the same cycle with almost everything we own these days.
