Took me 3 weeks to set up a business line at our new shop in Boise

Everyone says just call the provider and it's done in a day, but ours got stuck in a loop between sales and install for 3 weeks because the address wasn't in their system right. Is it normal that a simple business line setup takes longer than getting the building wired for power? What did you all do when the provider kept passing you around?
