Serious question, did anyone else survive the Tuesday our office internet died for 6 hours?
Our business fiber line went down at 9:12am on a Tuesday two weeks ago and did not come back until almost 3:30 in the afternoon. The provider's status page kept saying everything was fine in our area while our router showed nothing but red lights. All 14 of us sat around like kids on a snow day, except we still had to answer client emails from our phones on spotty LTE. Our office manager drove to the coffee shop on 5th with three laptops and set up a little camp in the corner booth. The funniest part was watching the sales guy try to close a deal on his phone while standing in the parking lot holding it up to the sky like a torch. Turns out a construction crew a block over cut the main line, and nobody bothered to tell us until hour five. Has anyone else had a provider leave you hanging like that, and did you switch after?
