I thought paying for business fiber was a waste until our uploads ate the whole DSL line
Two weeks ago our office in Boise had a full day of video calls and file uploads pile up, and the whole team sat there watching a 400MB folder crawl for almost an hour. The DSL line we'd kept for years was fine for email and browsing, so I always figured business fiber was just a fancy upsell. Then our ISP tech showed me the upload speed was capped at 1 Mbps, which meant every big file was choking everyone else on the network. I switched us to a 300/300 fiber plan for $189 a month, and that same folder now goes up in under a minute. The kicker is I spent the whole morning blaming the cloud storage tool. Anyone else get blindsided by upload speed when they only ever checked download numbers?
