That $40 'hidden gem' campsite app straight up lied to me

Booked a spot in Moab through this app that promised 'verified' amenities and a fire pit, paid $40 upfront, and got there to find a bare patch of dirt with no facilities at all. The app refused a refund because the host marked me as 'no-show' when I left early, so I ate the cost plus another $60 for a last-minute BLM site. Anyone else get burned by these third-party booking platforms instead of just calling the park office directly?
