Question about sleeping in airports to save on hotels
Got stuck overnight in Singapore Changi last year with a 14 hour layover. I slept on a bench near the butterfly garden to avoid a $150 hotel. Some travelers say it's a smart hack, others think it's crazy and ruins your trip. Where do you stand on airport sleeping?

My 12 hour layover in Dubai taught me to pack a neck pillow and earplugs. It makes the hard seats bearable and you actually get some rest. What's in your airport survival kit?

Disagree completely. That stuff just adds more junk to carry. Learned to sleep sitting up straight on a bench in Bangkok. You adapt. All those travel pillows are a scam. Real rest comes from being tired enough, not from gear.

Used to think gear was overrated but this changed my mind.

I slept on the floor of the Las Vegas airport once and it was awful. The carpet was gross and I kept getting woken up by slot machines. My back hurt for two days after. But I saved like $200, so I guess it was worth it. Your mileage may vary, but for me airport sleeping is a last resort. I'd rather pay for a cheap pod hotel or just tough it out awake.
