I tried booking a flight to Lisbon 3 months out versus 3 weeks out and the price difference was insane

Yeah the "3 months out" thing is wild, airlines basically treat that like a holiday booking now. I've seen prices actually go down closer to the date if they're not filling seats.

Bought a ticket to Denver 10 days out last year for $80 round trip @emma72, way cheaper than what my coworkers paid booking three months ahead. Felt like I was gaming the system but honestly it's just luck of the draw with their algorithms.

Totally agree with @jakelee, I snagged a last-minute flight to Chicago for way less than the early bird price.
