Hostel kitchen disaster in Barcelona - lost all my food
Some idiot left the fridge door open overnight in my hostel in Barcelona and my 4 days worth of groceries went bad. Had to eat nothing but bread and jam for 2 days. Has anyone else had hostel fridge drama ruin their meal prep? Next time I'm bringing a cooler bag with ice packs.

Honestly this is why I never trust shared spaces with anything important.

That really sucks about your groceries, losing a whole batch of meal prep is the worst. Had a similar thing happen in a hostel in Prague where someone put a warm pizza directly on my shelf and melted half my stuff. The cooler bag with ice packs idea is solid, but even then you're at the mercy of whoever else is using that fridge.
