Hostel booking mistake cost me $50 extra last month in Prague
I booked a 6-bed dorm on Hostelworld without checking the basement room photos, and it turned out to be a windowless box with one outlet for six people. Ended up paying $50 more to switch to a proper room with natural light and a power strip. Anyone else ever get burned by trusting hostel reviews that conveniently skip the worst rooms?

It's always the fine print or what they don't show you that gets you, kinda like how every product review raves about the main feature but conveniently forgets to mention it falls apart after a month. Classic bait and switch in plain sight lol.

Wait, were you literally me before because I used to totally fall for those five star reviews and buy stuff without reading the one star complaints. Then I got this phone charger that was supposed to be super fast but melted after a month, and every three star review warned about it. Now I scroll down to the bad ones first, it saves me so much money. Do you check the negative reviews before you buy anything now?
