Gave up on fancy breakfasts abroad, now I grab fruit from markets

Back then, I always ate hotel breakfasts or cafe meals. They added up fast and blew my daily budget. Started buying bananas and pastries from local stalls instead. Saves cash and lets me try simple local eats. My morning routine is cheaper and more fun these days.

Oh nice, that's the real move. I started doing that and ended up finding the best little spots just by wandering for a snack, not even at breakfast time lol. It's how I found my favorite late-night bakery.

I mean, like @the_brooke, skipping cafes lets you chat with vendors and pick up the language.
