Vent: My roommate insisted I try a 'budget' meal kit service for $60 a week.
It was more expensive than just buying the ingredients myself at Aldi. Anyone have a go-to cheap recipe that actually saves money?

Wait, do you really think it's that simple though? I get why you'd be frustrated, hill.barbara, but for a lot of people these scams hit at a really vulnerable time. My aunt fell for one last year and it wasn't because she was dumb, she was just lonely and desperate for some kind of hope. @the_kai, I know you were joking about the nature show thing but it's not really fair to make people feel stupid for getting tricked when the scammers are literally trained to find the perfect hook. Your cousin probably felt like he was making a smart move at the time, not walking into a trap. The real problem is how good these con artists are at picking people who are already hurting.

Tell your sister to get in line, hill.barbara. My cousin just sent his life savings to a prince who emailed him from a library computer. It's like watching a nature show where the animal walks right into the trap. You just want to yell at the screen.
