Unpopular opinion: my mom was right about buying the whole chicken instead of the cut pieces
I used to grab the $5 packs of thighs and breasts at Kroger every trip because it felt like less money up front. Then after my rent went up in March she sat me down and said just buy the $8 whole bird and cut it up yourself. I rolled my eyes but tried it for 2 weeks. Six meals out of one bird plus a pot of stock from the bones I used to toss. I'm not going back. Does anyone have a good way to use the wings though? I keep running out of ideas there.

Wait, you were tossing bones before? That's free stock!
