My team's lunch habit finally clicked for me on saving cash

We used to order delivery every Friday as a team thing, and it was adding up fast. I started bringing in a big pot of homemade pasta salad with veggies from the discount bin. It costs way less to feed everyone, and now my coworkers chip in for ingredients. This little shift showed me that group meals at work don't have to break the bank.

And that whole system collapses the first time someone "forgets" their wallet.

Wait, you got your whole team to actually chip in for ingredients? That's the real miracle here. I tried something like that once and ended up just feeding three freeloaders for a month. The discount bin veggies I believe, but getting coworkers to pay up is wild.

Terrys38 has a point about freeloaders. Jamiew83 is right about the wallet thing too. Office meal plans only work with a petty cash jar and zero trust.
