My neighbor's 15 minute dinner broke my whole meal plan

Last Tuesday I was bragging about my slow cooker chili that takes 6 hours, and my neighbor just laughed and showed me her one pot pasta that she does in 15 minutes. It cost like $4 for the whole pan, all stuff I already had in the cabinet. Why am I overcomplicating this every single week?
