Finally cracked the code on meal prepping after 4 failed Sundays in a row
I kept trying to prep all my lunches for the week but ended up throwing out half of it because I got bored by Wednesday. Turns out I was making too much of the same dish, so now I split it into three different recipes that freeze well. Any tips on keeping variety without blowing the grocery budget?

The freezer trick is smart, I do the same thing. Maybe it's just me but I also keep a few "mix and match" ingredients like cooked chicken or ground turkey that I can throw into different sauces or wraps throughout the week. That way I'm not stuck eating the exact same thing every day but I'm not buying a ton of different stuff either. Also, I learned to prep just three days worth of fresh stuff and leave the rest for later in the week so nothing goes bad. And idk if this helps, but I started portioning out my grains and proteins separately so I can switch up the flavors with different seasonings or veggies as I go. It really cut down on the boredom and the wasted food.

@susan424 oh, do you freeze the grains separately too?
