Showerthought: That $60 heat gun from Harbor Freight has outlasted three $100+ name brand ones
Bought it on a whim two years back when my old one died mid-project. Figured it'd be junk and I'd replace it soon. Nope. Still going strong after fixing two laptops, reflowing a game console, and stripping paint off a door. My buddy laughed at me for getting it. Now he's on his second expensive one. Is there something to saving money on tools that just do heat?
