Pro tip: I put my soaked PS4 in rice for a week and now it smells like a rice cooker died inside it
Spilled a full mug of sweet tea on my PS4 during a ranked match last Saturday and panicked, so I dumped it in a 5 pound bag of jasmine rice like every forum says to do. Waited 7 days, pulled it out, and the thing powered on fine but now the fan blows hot rice steam every time I play. Turns out rice dust got into the vents and the smell is baked in forever. Should I pull the shell and hit it with compressed air, or is this console just gonna smell like a Chinese restaurant for the rest of its life?
