Dropped my phone in the toilet at a rest stop in Ohio last month

Took it apart on the hood of my truck and found the earpiece speaker was full of gunk but the logic board was fine after a rice bath, has anyone else had luck cleaning out those fine mesh grilles with just a toothbrush?

Toothbrush never gets deep enough for me, an air compressor works way better.

Hold up, are you talking about blowing out the vents and motherboard directly, or are you actually getting the compressor nozzle inside the case and hitting individual components? I could see that being effective for dislodging dust bunnies that toothbrushes miss, but I'd be scared of static buildup or accidentally blasting a fan too hard. In my experience, even a low-PSI compressor can send tiny bearings flying if you're not careful. Any special technique you use to not wreck your hardware?
