The $89 garage fridge that finally stopped my daily gas station runs
I kept telling myself I was saving by only buying a coffee and a sandwich each morning, but that added up to like $11 a day. Last month I found a used mini fridge on Facebook for $89 and started meal prepping on Sundays. Now I pack my lunch and a cold drink every night for work, and I'm down to maybe one gas station stop a week. It paid for itself in about two weeks honestly. Has anyone else had a random purchase like this that quietly killed a bad spending habit?

Most people never actually see where the money goes, just that it's gone. A single thing that makes the better choice easier, that's what breaks the cycle, not willpower. Small setup costs like that fridge are the cheapest way to change a daily habit.
