Took me 2 hours to figure out a simple corner bond issue
I was working on a garden wall last month and kept messing up the corner where two walls meet. Thought I had it measured right but the bond kept looking off by a quarter inch. Spent nearly 2 hours tearing out and relaying bricks before I realized my string line was sagging in the middle. Has anyone else had a simple tool setup waste their whole morning?

Yeah @willow672, you're right about the sagging. But I think you might be thinking of the wrong type of wood for that. Pine is notorious for sagging in the middle if you don't brace it right. But if you use a hardwood like oak or maple, you can get away with a lot longer spans without any support. I built a bookshelf last year out of poplar and it's been solid for six months now with no sag at all. Just a heads up if you're planning another project - the wood choice really makes a difference there.
