So I'm laying a herringbone patio in this guy's backyard in Mesa last week

Had the pattern perfect, then my new helper, Dave, trips over the hose and dumps a whole 5-gallon bucket of mortar right into the middle of it. Looked like a concrete pancake. We had to scrape it up fast and re-set like 30 bricks before it dried. Anyone else have a helper who's a total klutz but you keep them around anyway?

Dave sounds like a human wrecking ball with a bucket. At least he keeps you on your toes and your trowel skills sharp. You gotta admire that kind of consistent chaos.

Oh man, that's brutal. My cousin's helper once dropped a whole stack of pavers off the truck tailgate.
