Remember when we all used to mix mud by hand on the job site?

Honestly, I was on a big church job in St. Louis about 8 years ago when the foreman brought in a portable mixer. We all thought it was a waste of money at first. Tbh, after seeing how much faster we could lay brick with a steady supply of consistent mortar, I never went back to a hoe and a tub. Anyone else have a specific job that made them switch to a mixer full time?

My first house flip convinced me for good.

Wait, you mean the profit or the process that convinced you? Most people I talk to say their first flip actually lost money or barely broke even because they didn't know what they were doing yet. I had a buddy who spent two months on his first one and ended up making like $3,000 after all the surprises popped up. That's a long time for such a small check.

Yeah that first one really hooks you, @blair_lewis85. It's all about seeing that final profit number after the grind.
