Laying block with a string line vs. a laser level, the day I finally switched

I laid block for 7 years off a string line and thought a laser was for guys who couldn't pull a line tight. Last month on a garage in Mesa my line kept sagging in the heat and I was chasing a 1/4 inch bow along the top course all afternoon. My foreman handed me his laser and I set it up in about 5 minutes, and the next 3 courses went dead straight with zero rechecking. I still use string for short runs, but for anything over 20 feet I'm grabbing the laser first now. Anyone else fighting the switch or am I just late to this?
