I finally had to mortar a patio around a full kiddie pool in Akron.

Saw a video where someone did that with a sandbox, it looked like a huge pain. Bet that mortar is holding up better than my will to do yard work.

Honestly that was probably mortar for a paver patio, not a sandbox.

Nah, I kinda get why she'd call it a sandbox though. That stuff looks like gritty beach sand before you mix it up, and if you're not paying close attention it's easy to mistake the two. Plus once it's set, that mortar is way tougher than any sandbox frame I've ever built, so her point about it holding up better than yard work still stands.
