Update: spent 5 hours rewiring my 1978 CB750 and the whole problem was a $2 fuse clip

The manual in the glovebox said 15A but the clip itself had gone green and was dropping voltage. Anyone else fight a 40 year old harness and win, or do you just buy a new loom?
