Tried to save a dying fern by putting it in my bathroom for humidity and it grew 6 new fronds in 3 weeks
I honestly thought it was a goner after I left it in the dry living room for two months, then one hot shower cycle later it perked up like crazy - has anyone else had a plant bounce back from a weird spot change like that?

Wait, really @nina_butler? I had the exact same thing happen with a peace lily that was basically just a brown stick. I stuck it in my bathroom after a few weeks of zero hope and it popped out two new leaves within a month. I mean, maybe it was already in decent shape like you said, but the humidity from the shower felt like a magic switch. Idk if it was purely the spot change or just the moisture, but I've read ferns especially love that constant damp air. What else were you supposed to do though, it was already dying in the living room, so trying a weird spot seemed worth it.

Tbh I think that fern just got lucky with the humidity boost, not the spot change. Plants don't really pull off dramatic comebacks like that unless they were already in decent shape.
