Saw someone at the plant swap in Austin call a pothos a philodendron and I bit my tongue so hard I tasted blood.
It happens every time at these swap meets where people just guess the names but the leaves have totally different textures and growth patterns so how do you mix those up, has anyone else had to hold back from correcting a total stranger?

I've done swaps in Austin for three years now and honestly half the people just call everything a "vine thing" so at least they tried. It's a plant not a medical diagnosis, who cares if the name is off by a genus.

Yeah ryan952's right, calling it a "vine thing" is way better than the folks who just shrug and walk off.
