Rant: I put my monstera in the bathroom for 5 days and now it's mad at me

I thought the steam from my showers would be a nice little tropical vacation for it, but 2 leaves went yellow by day 4 and I panicked and moved it back to the living room. Did I just fry it with too much humidity, or is my bathroom light just too dim for a monstera?
