Question about people who don't let houseplants go dormant in winter

I keep seeing folks on here watering their succulents the same amount all winter long even when they're clearly not growing. My Echeveria stopped drinking back in November and I only gave it a splash twice since then. How do you tell newbies their plants need a rest without sounding like a jerk?

Totally feel you on this, it's a tough one to navigate.

@sethtorres it's so hard because nobody likes being told they're doing something wrong... I usually just say something like "oh hey succulents are funny they actually need a lot less water in winter" and leave it at that. If they push back I just shrug and say it's worked for me, no big deal.
