My monstera by the north window went from 4 leaves to 11 in 5 months after I quit watering on a schedule
I stopped the Sunday waterings back in March and just stuck a finger in the soil instead, and the thing threw out 7 new leaves. Anyone else kill a plant with too much love before they figured this out?
11 leaves in 5 months is wild. I watered my pothos every 3 days for a year because some blog said so, and it dropped down to two sad leaves before I caught on. Started doing the finger test too and now the thing is climbing my bookshelf. Roots need air, not love. People water on Sundays like it's church, but the plant don't know what day it is.
