My five-year-old niece looked at my prized monstera and said, 'It's just a big leaf with holes, why is it your friend?'
It made me realize I talk to my plants more than some people, and now I'm wondering if anyone else has had a kid totally roast their plant-parenting vibe.

Honestly @elizabeth_hunt, I talk to my plants all the time and it really does help. I had a fern that was looking pretty sad, and just telling it about my week while I watered it seemed to perk it right up. Tbh, they might not talk back, but it's way cheaper than therapy. Ngl, my snake plant has heard some of my best rants.
