My first successful leaf propagation after 3 tries
I was at the community garden greenhouse last Tuesday and finally got a peperomia leaf to root in water without rotting. The trick was changing the water every 2 days instead of letting it sit. Has anyone else had better luck with certain water conditions?

Changing the water every 2 days" is what did it for me too, but I just use tap water and it's fine. @taylor.susan I wouldn't overthink the water source, unless you've got lead pipes or something.

Used to swear by tap water but you might be onto something.

Stopped at a gas station in New Mexico last year and the tap water there tasted like metal mixed with dirt. Switched to bottled spring water for a while after that and noticed my skin cleared up and I stopped getting those weird headaches. Now I fill up a 5 gallon jug at the grocery store dispenser for like 35 cents a gallon and keep it in the truck with me. It's not much more work than drinking from the tap and I feel way better honestly. Sometimes it's just whatever's in your local water supply that's messing with you.
