A customer at the garden center said my pothos looked 'sad' and it stuck with me
I was buying a new pot in Phoenix last month when a woman pointed at my plant and said, 'That one needs a bigger home, its roots are probably cramped.' I repotted it the next day and it's already pushing out two new leaves. Has anyone else had a stranger give you surprisingly good plant advice?

Honestly, that happens more than we realize. People see things from the outside and just know. I was overwatering a fern for months until a delivery guy mentioned his mom always killed hers the same way. It's like we get too close to our own stuff and miss the obvious fix. A fresh pair of eyes can cut right through all that. Makes you wonder what simple solutions we're all walking past every day.

My old boss used to say you needed ten years of experience to solve a problem. But last year, my neighbor's kid pointed out my car door wasn't fully closed, fixing a weird noise I'd paid two mechanics to find. That really changed my mind, like @clairec78 said. We build up this idea that answers have to be complex, when half the time it's something plain as day.
