Man, I had a boss who did the same thing and it backfired hard. I finally sat down with him and said I need a heads up before you send people my way, even if it's just five minutes. He started texting me first and it made a huge difference. Now I just close my laptop and step out for a bit when I know a walk-in is coming. It took me getting chewed out by a client to realize I had to speak up though.
